Our intention is to build and support a thriving community that chooses to make their health and their lifestyles a top priority. The better care we take of ourselves, the more we can use our gifts in the world to help others. What to expect? Kaitlen will guide all participants through dietary meal planning and preparation. Some programs will include Kaitlen shopping with patients and informing patients about the importance of label reading. She will also guide all participants with “juggling” healthy eating and exercise routines with chaotic life schedules. Kaitlen will check in with participants weekly and monitor body composition on a weekly or biweekly schedule. Kaitlen is a talking, walking example of what true dedication is to living a healthy lifestyle. Megan Wilson is your mindfulness coach. Mindfulness focuses on getting our psyche at the optimal state of harmony and wellness. Very often people that struggle with weight issues will have negative programming that makes them believe that excess is just a normal part of aging or that their family is overweight so they are doomed to be overweight too. This programming is incorrect and can sabotage a person’s weight goals. Megan will use strategies to help “reprogram” a person’s mental dialogue to facilitate the body to release excess weight. Megan will also use stress release strategies to help patient’s cope with stress and chaos in their daily life. Stress will release cortisol which is a hormone that puts a person in fat storage mode. Prolonged stress will cause weight gain due to excessive release of cortisol. Megan will use visualization and meditation techniques to help manage stress and anxiety. Dr. Nicole Canada utilizes her vast knowledge as a Functional Medicine Doctor and Chiropractor to access patient’s chemical levels(blood levels). Dr. Nicole will order blood labs to measure a patient’s thyroid level and looks at the conversion of the thyroid hormones. Dr. Canada will also look at hormone levels and prescribe bioidentical hormones if needed. Depending on a patient’s health history, Dr. Canada will order additional labs as needed. We strongly feel that by addressing the mind/body connection that releasing weight can actually be easy and enjoyable! (Yes I said enjoyable) Call our office to schedule your consultation.
